Privacy policy

What happens to your data when you visit this site, write to us or use the plugins and the Hub. Last updated 25 October 2026.

In short

  • No newsletter and no forms of ours on this site. An account is optional and is kept by our reseller.
  • No tracking cookies, and nothing stored in your browser to recognise you.
  • Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies.
  • The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data (such as your IP address) to deliver and protect it.
  • The plugins work offline. The Hub needs no account and has no telemetry; signing in to it is optional.

Hosting and server logs

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to the server: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system. Without it the page cannot be delivered.

Provider. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

Purpose. To deliver the site, keep it available and protect it from attacks and abuse.

Legal basis. Our legitimate interest in a working and secure website, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Retention. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

Visit statistics

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, to know which pages are read and whether the site is fast enough. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. We see only totals (pages, referring sites, countries, browsers, loading times), never a profile of a single visitor. No personal data reaches us.

How it works. Every page loads one small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com, which sends the page view to cloudflareinsights.com. The browser is allowed to talk to these two addresses and to no other analytics service. The script reads no cookies, writes nothing to your browser, does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you to other sites.

Provider. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

Data. The address of the page you open and the page or site you came from; the type of browser, operating system and device, read from the user agent; the country, derived from the IP address, which is used for this and not stored with the statistics; loading-time measurements of the page. No cookies, no identifier stored on your device, no cross-site tracking.

Legal basis. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

Retention. Only aggregated statistics are kept, and they are not linked to a person. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

This site does not use tracking cookies. It sets no cookies of its own and does not use local storage or similar technologies to recognise you or follow you across sites. For this reason there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Only if you sign in on the account page: the two session tokens the account service returns are kept in that browser tab's session storage, so a reload keeps you signed in. They are strictly necessary for the sign-in you asked for, are deleted when you sign out or close the tab, and never hold your password.

When you write to us

If you write to [email protected], we use your address and your message to answer you.

Legal basis. Steps you ask for before a contract, or the contract itself, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; for other questions, our legitimate interest in answering, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Purchases

Purchases, the shop cart and customer accounts run on our reseller, which is also the merchant of record. The cart and checkout load from the reseller only once sales open. Sign-in talks to the reseller only from the account page, and only when you use it; no other page contacts the reseller before sales open.

Payment provider. Our reseller and licensing provider, Moonbase AS, Norway. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]. It uses payment processors such as Stripe, Adyen and PayPal for the payment itself.

Data. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

Legal basis. Performance of the contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, and tax and accounting obligations, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Retention. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

Your ZOKKU account

An account is optional. You don't need one to try or use the plugins. With an account you see your plugins, trials, downloads and activations on the account page and in ZOKKU Hub.

Provider. The reseller named under Purchases keeps the account. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected].

Data. Name, email address and password (kept by the reseller), your purchases, licences and trials, and for each activation the computer's device ID (a hash, not the computer's name), the label "Windows computer" and when the licence was last checked.

Account page. Our own forms send what you type (your email and password to sign in; name, email and password to create an account; your email to reset a password) straight to the reseller over HTTPS, which also receives the technical data any request needs, such as your IP address and browser. We never see or store your password. To keep you signed in, the page keeps two short-lived session tokens in the tab's session storage until you sign out or close the tab.

In ZOKKU Hub. Signing in sends your email and password once to the reseller, over an encrypted connection; the Hub does not store the password. It keeps a session token on your computer, encrypted for your Windows user, until you sign out. Signed in, it reads your library and, if you leave that option on, activates what you own on that computer (one activation each). Signing out deletes the session; the licences stay on the computer.

Legal basis. Performance of the contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Retention. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

Plugins and Hub

The plugins work offline and send nothing to us. The assistant in fuzzo and ascent proposes settings on your computer. Only if you turn on its online AI option, with your own OpenAI key, it sends measurements of the sound (never the audio) to OpenAI, under your own agreement with OpenAI. We receive none of it.

ZOKKU Hub needs no account and has no telemetry and no background service. Signing in is optional (see Your ZOKKU account). It contacts the download server only when you check for updates, or at start if you turn that on. The server receives the technical data any download needs, such as your IP address.

Update server. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

Recipients and transfers

We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising. The providers named above process data on our behalf, under a data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR).

Transfers outside the EU. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR you can ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, the restriction of its processing, and a copy in a portable format. You can object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what happened before.

Write to [email protected]. We answer within one month.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work. Details will be published here shortly. Contact: [email protected]

We make no automated decisions and do no profiling. You are not required to give us any personal data to read this site.
