Trial and buying

How does the free trial work?

Every plugin can be tried free for 7 days before you buy it: start the trial in ZOKKU Hub or in the plugin, with no card and no account. When it ends, instruments go silent and effects pass the sound through, with a banner that says so. Trials open with the installers on the download page.

How much does a plugin cost?

Each plugin shows its price on its page and on the Plugins page, from $29; IKIPUMP is free. ZOKKU Beat Kit (five plugins) is $129 and ZOKKU All (all eleven) is $199. In the EU the checkout shows the same number in euros, VAT included.

Do I need an account?

No. The plugins, the Hub and the 7-day trial all work without one. An account keeps what you buy: sign in on the account page or in the Hub to see your library, trials and downloads.

How do I activate a licence?

Buying uses a ZOKKU account. Sign in to the Hub with it and what you own activates on that computer by itself; or, in the Hub, Activate online opens your browser to sign in and unlocks the plugin on this computer; Deactivate frees the place for another one. Without internet, the Hub writes a request file: open our activation page from any device, get the licence file and load it back. One activation works for the plugin and the Hub. See Trial and licence.

Can I get a refund?

The refund policy will be published in the terms of sale shortly. Until then, write to [email protected].

Installing

What do I need?

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, on any x64 processor, and a DAW that loads VST3 or CLAP plugins. No extra packages.

Is there a Mac version?

Not yet. The plugins are Windows only for now.

Which formats?

VST3 and CLAP. Each installer puts both in the standard folders, Common Files\VST3 and Common Files\CLAP. AU and AAX are not available.

Do I need the Hub?

No. The Hub is a convenience for installing and updating everything in one place. Each plugin also has its own Setup. Removing the Hub leaves the plugins installed.

My DAW does not see the plugin.

Close and reopen the DAW, then rescan plugins. In FL Studio: Options, Manage plugins, Find plugins.

Using the plugins

Will my sessions sound the same after an update?

That is the rule for every update: sessions and presets saved before keep their sound. When a plugin changes how it sounds, the change arrives as a new option or only in new instances.

What are the three window sizes?

Essential (640 × 400) with the main controls, Studio (1000 × 640) and Full (1280 × 800) with everything. Pick one with S, M and L in the top bar, or drag the window corner. A click on the status line at the bottom zooms the content from 75 to 200 %.

Can I compare two settings?

Yes. A and B hold two complete settings in the same plugin. Where the top bar shows equal vol., B is brought to the loudness of A, so louder does not fool you.

Does the plugin take my space bar?

No. A click on a control never takes the keyboard, so the space bar stays with your DAW. Press Tab to work a plugin from the keyboard; a ring shows where you are.

Can I type a value?

Yes, with units: 6k3, 250ms, -3 dB. Shift while dragging gives fine control, a double-click returns to the default.

What is ZOKKU Link?

It carries the kick from one plugin to another on one of 16 channels, from any track of the same project, without routing in the mixer. ikipump (Send / Kick), kitto and tatakit send it; ikipump in Link mode and vela with ducking receive it.

It works between plugins loaded in the same process. If your host isolates plugins (FL Studio Make bridged, the Bitwig plugin sandbox, a dedicated process in Reaper), use the sidechain instead; the plugin tells you in words when this happens.

Can I use my own samples?

Yes. kizami opens WAV, AIFF, FLAC, Ogg and MP3 up to 10 minutes. kitto takes your one-shots up to 8 seconds in any lane, saved inside the project. utsuri loads your own wavetables as WAV.

Are there third-party samples inside?

kitto ships 75 library sounds with documented licences. tatakit synthesizes its hits, with an optional PCM alternative per lane. kizami contains no third-party samples: it reads the folders you choose.

Privacy

Do the plugins go online?

Only for the licence: to start a trial, to activate or deactivate, and for a short check of an online licence. Your audio never leaves your computer. fuzzo and ascent also have an assistant that proposes settings offline; only if you choose the online AI option, with your own OpenAI key, they send measurements of the sound (never the audio) to OpenAI.

Does the Hub collect data?

No telemetry and no background service. It contacts the download server when you check for updates, or at start if you turn that on, and the licence server only when you start a trial, activate or deactivate (plus a short check of an online licence, at most once a day).
